Jurline provided support to the team of National University “Odesa Law Academy” for participation in Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition

On March 22-24th, 2018, the students of the National University “Odesa Law Academy” Anastasiia Karpenko, Kristina Mysenko and Faith Abel Abraham represented the Central and Eastern Europe in the 22th Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition (Florida, USA).

This was made possible after winning the championship at Central and Eastern European Rounds of the 22th Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition. The first part of the competition consisted of written memoranda that were assessed by leading foreign lawyers. This year the case concerned keeping the balance between national interests and saving the population of endangered species of waterbirds. The second part of the competition was moot court among the teams of higher educational institutions of Ukraine.

It should also be noted that the participants received the awards for the “Best memorandum”, and Faith Abel Abraham was awarded as the “Best Oralist”.

The participation in International Round required fundamental preparation and financial support, which was provided by American and European professors, and by Jurline. Due to support given the team of the National University “Odesa Law Academy” had a great honour to compete against the winners of Regional Rounds from Brazil, Hawaii, Columbia and Nepal. The students from the National University “Odesa Law Academy” became winners in the oral round with Nepal, and their memorandum achived a high score three times.
