New life of funds Scientific Library Odessa I.I.Mechnikov national university

Partners of Juridical Firm «Jurline» in the framework of the Center of study law by Savigny together with the Odessa businessmen Andrei and Yegor Stavnitser signed an agreement with the Odessa I.I.Mechnikov national university for free use of the scan equipment for rare early printed books.

Scientific library named after I.I.Mechnikov stores a large amount of old books that have historical value to researchers and students. The availability of these funds has increased after the acquisition of high-tech equipment for scanning. Cruse scanner can digitize publications with minimal light load on the original, which is very important for the priceless paintings and historical documents. Now there are more than 300 books in electronic format, including edition of XV-XVIII centuries.

The initiators of this charity project hope that the acquisition of the scanner will not only preserve the priceless collections of the Library, but also to inspire academics and students to new research and discoveries.
