The order of interaction between the Administration of seaports and State agencies for the protection of the natural environment has been approved

Recently, scandals related to inspections and detentions of ships in seaports by employees of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine have received wide publicity. Illegal inspections and detentions of ships by environmentalists lead both to losses for ship owners in the form of fines and idle time of ships, and simply to refusal to call at the ports of Ukraine. According to the business community, the total amount of losses from the illegal activities of environmental inspectors is up to $ 200 million per year in the form of uncreated GDP and lost revenue by the state and business.
