The shortcomings of the current legislation create barriers to the existence of environmental refrigerants in Ukraine

On June 27, 2020, the Law of Ukraine "On state regulation of activities with ozone-depleting substances and fluorinated greenhouse gases" enters into force. This law aims to ban the production and limit the use of ozone-depleting substances and substances with high global warming potential in Ukraine (some of which are used in refrigeration equipment). However, at present, the tax legislation of Ukraine and the legislation in the field of regulation of production and turnover of certain types of goods create obstacles to the existence of the market of ecological refrigerants in Ukraine.

In the last issue of  «Yuridicheskaya Gazeta» №10 (716) dated 26.05.2020 the lawyer of Law Firm «Jurline» Maksym Diatel has analysed the specified legislative changes and set out proposals for variants of settlement of current disputes in the current legislation.
